The Message of the Cross

The only solution for sin, the only answer to sin, is the Cross of Christ!

The Cross of Christ is the foundation principle of all Bibical Doctrine. It is the foundation because it is the first principle of Redemption, brought about in the Mind of God even before the foundation of the world (1 Pet. 1:18-20). This means that every single doctrine must be built on the foundation of Christ and the Cross, or else, in some way, it will be spurious. And that's the problem with the modern Church; in many cases it is building doctrines on other foundation.

Requirement for Salvation: Romans 10:9-10 9)"That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead you shall be saved. 10)For with the heart man believes unto Righteousiness and with the mouth confession is made unto Salvation".

Say outloud this prayer: Lord Jesus I am a sinner, please forgive me and cleanse me from all my sin. I am sorry please come into my heart as Lord and Savior and save me. In Jesus Name I pray. Thank you Jesus right now I am saved.

Let us know if you prayed that prayer and accepted Christ.

Wake Up America

Every man, woman and child in America is enslaved to the national debt. I believe that now, more than ever, each American must make a choice: we (the church of the Living God) must turn back to serving the Lord Jesus Christ that the shackles that enslave us will be unlocked, or we will lose our freedom in this nation. All of the rhetoric being spewed from our nation’s capitol and the so called elite pundit political leaders and media types, especially those far left social liberals, is becoming downright scary. Although I long for the hasting return of the Lord, which I believe to be very soon, I weep for those who do not know Christ as their personal savior.
However, if you have not already heard, we learn that the Lake County, Florida local Democratic Party headquarters, has been flying an American Flag — featuring Obama’s face in the blue section where the stars normally go — flying beneath a traditional American flag.
As a retired U.S Army veteran of more than 20 years I like several other veterans call this “despicable” and a “desecration”. It’s takes a cultist personality to show our presidents face, like a Stalin or Mao on our National Flag.
I don’t know about you but I for one am tired of the archetypes including socialist liberals like this Democratic Party chairperson in Florida, journalists, smug college professors and the “Mr. Hollywood” types degrading and attacking our country. Enough is enough my Christian brothers and sisters we must take a stand for our Christian beliefs which is the very foundation of this great nation. Let’s get our heads out of the sand.
Don’t get mad at me, but it’s time to stop all this nonsense of taking pictures of ourselves, playing games and posting every move we make & mood we are in on face book, twitter and the like. It’s time become active in our churches and politically lest our freedom falls.
I love all that reads this blog but come on let’s WAKE UP AMERICA!

Conflict (continued) from 3 March 2012

Conflict affects people in different ways. Some folks internalize their difficulties – which can lead to sustained anger and frustration. First, take a look at 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 which says: “For which cause we faint not; but through our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment works for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen or Eternal.
Listen: Others fully vent their feelings and an emotion – which may make them feel better momentarily but does not solve their problems. Still others try to ignore their problems, hoping they will disappear as time passes.
In God’s plan conflicts initiate the following scriptural scenario:
First, our conflicts should drive us to the Lord Jesus Christ. We look to God’s Word to guide our conduct; we seek His face to steady our course. We lean on His strength, depend on His wisdom, and take refuge in His arms.
Second, we entrust our problems to the Lord’s care. God is responsible for His children. Our conflicts concern Him, and He promises to sustain us if we cast our burdens on Him (1 Peter 5:6-7).
Third, we thank God for an outcome that glorifies Him. The Lord uses our conflicts to produce outstanding results that will benefit us on earth and in heaven.
By taking our problems to the Father, we have engaged our Mighty God to work in our behalf. These problems can be solved as we allow Him to fight our battles for us. You might want to take a look at (Exodus 14:14 and Revelation 19:11).

A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words

You’ve no doubt heard that old saying, “A picture is worth a thousand words.”
Faith is like that. Since it can’t be seen, visible results of it prove its existence. You can’t see love, but you can see the results of it. If you tell your spouse you love them, but that’s all you ever do is tell them, do you think they really believe you. What if you never lifted a hand to help them, and never showed your love in visible ways? What if you never said a kind word, but all you ever did was criticize, abuse, and generally mistreat them? Do you think that saying “I love you” would make them believe you. No way! It takes action (works) along with belief (faith) to complete love.
I can believe (Faith) a tree is a peach tree all day long, but if it never produces (Works) a peach, how do I know it’s a peach tree. Maybe it just looks like one, and even if it were, what good would it be. They are not big enough for a shade tree. Listen: Without fruit, a tree is not a fruit tree. It’s the fruit that makes it a fruit tree, not the tree barren of any fruit.
Folks, pray that God will show you how to manifest your faith in Him, into works that give evidence of your faith. Become a fruit bearing Child of God!

CONFLICT

Given the choice, most of us would choose membership in “the status quo society’: “Lord, things are going pretty well for me now. I’d rather not have trouble knock at my door just now.”
That is a common sentiment. We want to maintain our comfort zone. We dislike change – especially the kind that is brought on by CONFLICT.
The moment friction enters the picture – in our relationships or in our circumstances – the peaceful, easy feeling of the status quo disintegrates. But if we view conflict as an opportunity rather than an obstacle, we make amazing discoveries.
Conflict generates ALERTNESS to both God’s and Satan’s presence. When trouble strikes, we realize we are in spiritual warfare. We sense the adversary at work, but more importantly we are sensitized to God’s Word and His Spirit.
Conflict also generates ACTION. No one has to tell us to open the Scriptures; no one must force us to pray. We are motivated and mobilized by the Lord to both search the Scriptures and pray.
Listen: Conflict changes our ATTITUDES. We become more grateful, more submissive, more dependent on God, more humble, and more understanding of others’ needs.
In closing we are told in 2 Corinthians 4:8-10 “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed (meaning - always confident of victory) we are perplexed, but not in despair (meaning – never utterly at a loss); Persecuted, but not forsaken (in other words - pursued, but not actually caught) cast down, but not destroyed (Listen: at times we are knocked down, but not knocked out) Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus (referring to the victory we have through the Cross of Christ), that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.” (We live the Resurrection Life by understanding that we have been planted together [Christ and ourselves] in the likeness of His Death [Romans 6:5])

Be encouraged and use the CONFLICTS OF LIFE to learn of Jesus and His victory at the CROSS for you and me.
